I grew up in Northern B.C. and was always into art, always drawing and using art to keep me busy. I watched a LOT of Art Attack! Art was always important to me and I love it so much to this day. My mom had tattoos and so it was always something I wanted and once I conned my mom into letting me get tattooed when I was 17 by bribing her with a new tattoo for her too. After the first one, I knew I was hooked. I loved it.
I started looking for apprenticeships and eventually found one. A lot of people in the industry go through horrible apprenticeships and I didn't get out alive either. It was hard to get kicked down over and over but I knew that this is what I wanted to do with my life.
I have now been tattooing for over 12 years and I can't believe I get to draw pictures and make people happy for a living. There have been a lot of ups and downs on the road to where I am, but I will continue to ride the wave and put out beautiful art for people to wear forever. I am so grateful that I get to do this and hope it never ends.
I love doing portraits and realistic tattoos because they are a challenge. On the opposite side of the spectrum, I adore watercolour tattoos as well. If I could just do faces and watercolour for the rest of my days, I would be a very happy girl forever.
